Biography
Dr. James Bonds grew up in West Tennessee close to the Mississippi River.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mississippi
and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee Center
for the Health Sciences. Dr. Bonds spent two years as a general practioner
with the United States Air Force, before attending the University of Tennessee,
where he completed his General Surgery Residency in 1982.
Dr. Bonds enjoys performing a wide range of general surgical procedures
along with endoscopic procedures. He is a member of the American College
of Surgeons, American Medical Association and the Christian Medical and
Dental Association. He is Board certified with the American College of Surgeons.
He and his wife have always loved the American West. After spending eight
years as a clinical instructor for the University of Alabama Surgical
Residency Program, in Birmingham Alabama, they moved to Blanding, Utah.
They have a small ranch that they share with their 2 horses, 2 cats, and
2 dogs. They are members of the United Methodist Church in Durango, Colorado.
